Ajaay Mahajan is a highly accomplished project and operations leader with over 30 years of experience in the global pulp, paper, and board industry. A PMP-certified professional, he has held senior leadership roles for more than 17 years, successfully delivering complex greenfield, brownfield, and second-hand projects across India, Southeast Asia, and Europe.

He has led and commissioned some of the world’s largest pulp and board projects, including a 1.2 million TPA board machine with over USD 1 billion capex, alongside high-capacity ECF fiber lines, BCTMP plants, power plants, and recovery islands (Project capacity handled from 165000 tons per annum to maximum capacity 1.2 millions tons per annum). His expertise spans project governance, budgeting, scheduling, contracts, procurement, safety, and operational optimization.

Ajaay has worked extensively with leading OEMs such as Voith, Valmet (Metso), ANDRITZ, Allimand, Lamort (Kadant), ECH Will, Passaban, PMT Italia, and multiple Tier-1 Chinese suppliers, managing paper machines, pulp lines, recovery boilers, power plants, and finishing systems. His portfolio includes 10+ paper and board machines, multiple ECF fiber lines, BCTMP plants, and high-capacity recovery islands.
